■ they alway says
The evening sun rises as the time comes along. The dad drags along his only child out for a stroll in the park after dinner. The child follows, knowing he has the freedom to play in the park, to run around free and easy, to climb and shout as loud as he could and to play his heart wholeheartedly with his dad. The child's behaviour was the dad's best present. He beamed and smiled at his dad as he climbed on the slide. He shouted, 'Dad, look at me, I can zoom real fast down.' The dad's only reply was, 'Alright, just be careful.'
The kid plays around while the dad stares blankly in the air. Looking at the trees, the stars and moon in the sky. The night wind blows and his tears started to fall. He did not realised that his child was kneeling down in front of him and asking him what happened. This was the first time that the child saw his dad behaving like that.
He replied to the child, 'I wonder if in future would you still behave like this to me, when you know whats good and not for yourself. When you have found your own world and your comfortable zone. Will I lose you like how I lose your sister?'
The child's reply was, 'No, I will not behave like her.'
Dad and the child looked at each other and smiled.
Flashes of the history past in front of the dad's eyes when he sat and mesmerized the days when he would bring both his son and daughter to the park. Where the trio would play around and enjoy themselves. But as times went by, the daughter started to drift apart, and started to stay away from home. She had found her own comfortable zone. She had gone somewhere else.
The growing kids these days, would leave home and not return as they have their own likings. And parents are unable to control of that now. A little scolding, a little arguement, in the end leads to one party leaving the house for good.
She dint think twice, she dint say goodbye. She merely went and never returned.
Years later, she would regret, and she would be sorry that she ever did that. She was not thinking as an adult before, until the day she realised that she had lost everything. And she had nothing, but when she turned back home, they accept her as per normal. Happy that they have her back. But times have past, times have been wasted. And slowly, she realised, the time taken away from her for her to bond with her family. She no longer was able to bond and communicate as before, the feelings are locked away. The ego she's having would not go down beyond her restricted limit. She would not let them know how she feels. She knows she has lost the game. But she would jus go on pretending that it wasnt totally her fault at all. She simply just went along, going on with a normal life, but without a normal mindset. She was like having depression, never able to speak up her mind in front of the family as before. Never being able to be open about matters. No longer able to talk normally to her dad, but with every two sentence between her and the dad, would be followed by an arguement.
Its no longer the same. She wishes she could go back to time and undo whatever she had done wrong and judged wrongly. To go back and bond with the family. To make sure that she wasnt where she is today.
The lives are no longer that easy for her anymore. She had to confess but no one to consult in. No one listening ear would understand what she was going through at all.. she is left in her room along, reflecting of what could have been done and avoided years ago. Things changed.
The story does not end as it is.. the days continue as per normal. She tries her best to maintain her control. She never meant to do whatever she did...this she has to say to her dad, but she never did. She would not admit...
